We drove out to the river last weekend and it was just beautiful.  We met up with friends and burned some rubble off the existing slab that we're planning to build on.  We have lots of "plans" but we're waiting to see what the Lord has for us.
That little miss in the red chair would be Eva in her front row seat for the fire.  We've had an unusually large amount of bonfires this fall and now Eva loves a good fire.

Our friend suggested that we check out the views from the slab while we're still in the house planning and window arranging phase.  What we realized is that the building site is nestled in a valley and that the views are nice from just about any direction.  These pictures are kind of a 360 from the slab.

This picture makes me want to roll around in the field like a horse.

Little miss is my favorite photobomber

So this building may not be the prettiest ever, but once the house is built up some on the slab, the mountains in the background will be even more visible.
And now onto news.  There is something beautiful on our fridge: we received notice that our USCIS biometrics appointment has been granted in about two weeks!
