And a blue egg from Carol Burnett, our crazy woman hen. Think Miss Hannigan. Since we've had the hens, all our eggs have been shades of brown until yesterday. Apparently, Carol Burnett is an Ameraucana hen. When we first got Carol Burnett, she was molting and being henpecked by her roommates. She's recovered most of her feathers now but will always be missing most of her top beak. She has a crazy underbite. She has been so ugly and mangy looking that I honestly couldn't tell what kind of hen she was until she surprised us with this lovely blue egg.
