It's been a good year.
We've had lots of changes and
Eva has had lots of changes.
Here's our 2014 recap:
- Eva began standing in her stander
- we sold our old house
- we moved to the country
- Eva lost her first two teeth
- we began to actually reap the benefits of cocooning with Eva. Hallelujah x 100.
- Eva turned FIVE!
- Eva began her career as an artist
- we had some mini daycations that Eva enjoyed for the first time ever
- Daniel changed jobs and we changed insurance (which ended up being a big deal)
- Eva started talking in sentences
- we began our adoption process for PRC
- we started 'homeschooling'
- Eva learned to recognize colors
- Eva learned to recognize A-K
- Eva can count objects up to 10
- we tried serial casting for Eva's feet but had to stop due to skin integrity issues
- we went to the beach
- Eva saw the ocean for the first time
- Eva went to the dentist for the first time
- we inherited chickens
- Eva received Botox for the first time
- we welcomed Margaret Dashwood
- we found land to build a house on by the river and an accessible house plan
- Eva started standing by herself with AFOs while propping on a mat
- EVA STARTED POTTY TRAINING! And now she loves the toilet and even wants to sing Lullaby to it.
- Eva actually enjoyed the Holidays this year with minimal stress. In the past, Eva has kinda been a zombie during family get togethers. It seems those days are behind us. When we celebrated as a little family Christmas day with our 2' tree, Eva kept on saying, "I want another present."

It's taken two years, but overall, I think we found our groove.
So it's time to stir the pot and change things up. We anticipate 2015 to be wonderfully different and wonderfully challenging. We plan to build a house far, far into the country. We plan to travel to China. We plan to receive our second child. We will be adjusting to our new way of life. We will have to move again. We will be cocooning as much as possible.
It's going to be a good time and a hard time. We have faith that Our Father will sustain us, just as He always has. Just look at Eva's pictures...God has been so good to us.
