All by himself (with the aid of a wench (sic winch), tow straps, and a tree), my macho man husband took down the chimney from the slab that we're planning to build on so that the slab will be a buildable surface...as in we want to build up, on top of the slab, creating a new crawl space for plumbing, etc. All in hopes of having a livable structure completed by the middle of May when our lease is up. So we have less than five months to build. And nearly two of those precious weeks we anticipate being out of the country. Oh my.
