Lost in Translation

The last we heard, our dossier is still being translated.  Boo.  I had hoped that it would be "in review" which is the next little milestone until we get the big, Letter Seeking Confirmation.  LSC or LOA in PRC adoption lingo.

So we're still waiting.  And to really add insult to injury, Eva and I have been stuck in the house since Sunday.  We've had snow days.  Which are nice.  But cabin fever mixed with waiting for someone else to finish up paperwork so you can get your kid is not cool.  To be fair, we've made good time overall with this process.  But waiting is still not fun.

Since we're stuck at home, we eagerly look forward to things like getting mail and are hyper vigilant of stuff going on or not going on in our neighborhood.  Like how the trash hasn't run yet.

You can imagine our excitement when FedEx showed up with a package for us.  First of all, Eva LOVES FedEx.  We've been there a couple times to take care of "paperwork for sister" and it has endeared her to this company.   When driving, she loves to spot FedEx stores and trucks.  She yells, "That's a FedEx truck, momma/daddy!"  And secondly, FedEx brought us a stroller from her Dedu and Babba Adria!

Guys, Eva was so stoked about this stroller, she asked me to take her for a ride around the house.  Actually, she asked for Lake Fayetteville, but we had to settle for the ol' house due to icy conditions.

As recommended by my good friend and momma of two boys (with a girl on the way!), we have the Baby Jogger Summit X3 deluxe extraordinaire fabuloso shwankapaloosa.  It's all it's cracked up to be.  It's like the Rolls Royce of strollers.  The wheels pop off like wheelchair wheels.  Super, super handy.  It's ADA compliant in width.  And it corners like it's on rails.  Name that inappropriate movie.

We are so, so thankful for this wonderful gift and can't wait to take our girls for rides!  In the meantime, Sparky The Sloth will accompany Eva.  Because someone might give me strange looks for taking one girl for a ride in a double stroller; but definitely not if there's a sloth riding shot gun.
